Tom Wooldridge

Director

Tom Wooldridge is an executive director, having founded Monument Real Estate in July 2016.
He is based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Tom was previously Finance Director at Associated Property Investors, a regional real estate management business, which he joined in 2004. Prior to then, Tom worked at KPMG where he qualified as a chartered accountant and obtained an MBA in Entrepreneurship.

He has worked in the commercial real estate markets for over 20 years, with extensive experience of asset classes across the United Kingdom for a range of family office and private equity investors.  He has also led financing transactions across a range of commercial assets with retail banks, challenger banks and private equity debt funds.

Tom is also trustee of a local charity and sits on the audit and risk management committee of Newcastle University.

Richard Wright

Property Consultant

Richard is an experienced chartered surveyor with over 30 years in the UK market.  He brings a wealth of cross sector experience to Monument’s projects, with board level rolls in agency, brokerage, development and asset management.

He began his career in Leeds, working in agency/advisory roles in Grenville Smith & Duncan and Lambert Smith Hampton. Here he was involved in a number of high profile office developments including, 1 Park Row, Trevelyan Square, and Leeds City Office Park.

Richard then gained direct experience of site acquisition, development, and letting/sales across the warehouse, industrial and office sectors covering the North for Wilson Bowden Development.  Projects included Century Park Wakefield 41, Cinnamon Park, Warrington, and Victoria Square, Leeds.

More recently, he has board level responsibility for a North East family office with a mixed portfolio of investments across the UK, with hands on experience of property finance and banking, sales and acquisitions, and asset management strategies.

Georgie Scott-Batey

Marketing and Centre Manager

Georgie joined Monument in April 2023 and her main role is as centre manager of Gosforth Central.  She brings a wealth of experience across marketing, business development, creative production, and event management.

Georgie's diverse career has included roles in business development, working within a creative advertising agency, overseeing print and design production in Italy, and serving as an in-house marketing manager for major clients.

With experience running her own business and working in creative styling and event management, Georgie combines strategic thinking with a strong creative flair. She has extensive expertise across all marketing channels, including print, digital, offline campaigns, PR, social media, and brand communications.

Known for her innovative approach and attention to detail, Georgie brings fresh energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to every project she undertakes. Her ability to develop engaging marketing strategies and deliver memorable events helps clients and brands connect with their audiences in meaningful and impactful ways.

Georgie is also trustee of a local charity.
